Arbutus Medical Clinic

Established in 2005, the Arbutus Medical Clinic is a small, cozy healthcare facility located in downtown Sechelt, just 5-minutes by car from Sechelt Hospital.

Currently, two Medical Office Assistants support two family physicians, who work in the office Monday to Thursday from 9am to 4:30pm. Our daily booking schedule leaves same-day spaces, which can be reserved by our own patients, or by walk-ins.

Our MedAccess EMR is very flexible in terms of scheduling; every doctor can create a schedule to suit their own practice.

Housed in a charming, renovated rancher, Arbutus features a comfortable waiting room, front office, and four, windowed exam rooms, three of which have sufficient space for minor procedures. There is also a small kitchen area with microwave, grill, coffee machine, and fridge, plus a supply of snacks for hungry workers.

Four full-time healthcare providers could work from the Arbutus clinic, quite easily.

Outside, there is dedicated staff parking and a staff-only entry at the rear of the office, which is accessed through a small garden with cherry, apple, and plum trees. In the summer, a covered and furnished south-facing patio provides the opportunity for a relaxing lunch and breath of fresh air.

In an effort to reduce the clinic’s environmental impact, Arbutus staff decided several years ago to keep reprocessing medical equipment, and avoid using disposable instruments where possible.

The Arbutus Medical Clinic is centrally located in Sechelt, an easy walking distance from a mid-sized mall, grocery stores, pharmacies, restaurants, and lovely oceanfront pathways.
