Gibsons Medical Clinic
The Gibsons Medical Clinic is home to a dynamic group of 13 family physicians, who deliver healthcare to their own patient panels, as well as walk-in medical services to unattached local patients. The FPs utilize diverse practice styles, including practice share, and a registered nurse works to support the physician team.
The airy, fully computerized clinic was built in 2010, and is well-supported by a team of friendly, experienced admin staff. The clinic features 16 exam rooms, a treatment room for minor procedures and emergencies, and large staffroom. Additionally, a shared physician workspace fosters a collaborative atmosphere.
The Gibsons Medical Clinic is situated in a busy shopping plaza, which includes a medical lab, sleep-testing clinic, hearing clinic, and pharmacy, as well as a high-end grocery store/deli, Starbucks, and cold beer & wine store.
Physician hours are flexible, with a minimum of 12 hours spent at the clinic each week. Physicians may also provide hospital work (Anaesthesia, ER, Obstetrics, or Inpatient care) on a rotating basis, if desired.
The Gibsons Medical Clinic is a training site for 2nd Year UBC Family Practice Residents and 3rd and 4th Year Medical Students offering teaching opportunities to interested physicians.
